This training introduces concepts about rape culture and challenges related to changing social norms across the social ecological model; advocacy with sexual assault survivors; beliefs about healthy sexuality; ethics and confidentiality; and relationship building for successful community collaborations.

Action Alliance Basic Advocacy and Continuing Advocacy Trainings are designed for advocates working with people who have experienced/are experiencing sexual and/or domestic violence and are conducted by members of the Action Alliance Training Institute Faculty and Staff. While these series are designed for staff and volunteers of Sexual and Domestic Violence Agencies (SDVA), the content will be helpful to allied professionals including healthcare providers, therapists/counselors, homeless services, faith communities, social workers, victim/witness assistance staff, and more.
