LGBTQ 201 - Taking it to the Next Level - MOVED TO RICHMOND

Survivors who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer experience unique barriers when seeking services from sexual and domestic violence advocacy agencies and allied professionals.  This training will go from theory to practice making direct links between sexism and homophobia/transphobia and its impact on survivors with particular focus on trans* communities and experiences.  Participants will explore advocacy and assessment techniques, dig into the impact of sexual violence across the LGBTQ spectrum, and discover concrete action steps to build a more effective organization that is ready to serve LGBTQ survivors.
