The training will provide attendees with knowledge and skills to better recognize signs and symptoms of trauma in males with a specific focus on boys and men of color. More importantly trainees will become better able to understand the trauma and healing needs of the communities they serve which will enhance their ability to incorporate a healing-centered lens into the work they do. The training will take place over the course of a day and consist of three (3) phases: (1) Trauma 101 for males and particularly boys and men of color; (2) Trauma-informed and healing-centered approaches; (3) Vicarious trauma and Self-Care.

Lunch is provided.
