Survivors of violence who are also immigrant have unique needs that advocates must take into consideration into order to provide effective services. This two day training explores those needs, including VAWA immigration remedies, language and cultural differences, community outreach, and agency capacity building to serve survivors from immigrant communities. Advocates will have an opportunity to build on their assets to better serve immigrant survivors while paying attention to the very real barriers experienced by these survivors.
