Criminalizing Survival: A Community Based Training
10:00am to 4:00pm
Action Alliance Office
1118 W. Main Street
Richmond, VA 23220
Using a curriculum from Survived & Punished, the Action Alliance is excited to host a free community workshop to help activists, advocates, organizers and community members to learn more about how domestic violence survivors are targeted, punished, and criminalized by law enforcement and judicial systems. In our conversation we will explore the connections between gender-based violence, prisons, and state violence.
After the workshop, participants and other community members will be invited to write letters to and make cards for LGBTQ+ folks who are currently incarcerated.
