Technology is a large component of IPV, both as an abuse and control tactic by abusers and as a safety and empowerment tool by survivors. Technology is also an integral component of agency operations. The objective of this training is to develop attendees’ capacity to provide effective services to survivors of technology-facilitated IPV and to safely manage technology within their agency. This training explores the major forms of technology-based IPV and how they impact survivors, safety planning considerations, the role of empowering technology, and best practices in agency technology safety. Participants attending this training are required to have a basic understanding of IPV.
